iciHaiti - Arcahaie : The American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti denounces 12/03/2017 10:20:05
The AmCham stresses that "These protests movements that have persisted for some time, disrupt the main activities of the region (schools, commerce, public administration, etc...) making communication between the North and the rest of the country virtually impossible. The climate of violence prevailing in the Arcahaie area is causing undeniable damage to this commune, as well as to the tourism industry, agriculture and trade, which has a negative impact on the creation and maintenance of jobs for the inhabitants of the region. In addition, these events cast an unfortunate discredit on the entire country and discourage potential investors we so badly need. [...] AmCham wants the authorities to take all necessary measures as soon as possible to ensure the security and free movement of persons and goods."
