iciHaiti - Women's Day : Message from the Deputy of Delmas, Gary Bodeau 09/03/2017 08:31:20
In this particular context, in which the country is confronted with multiple crises, women remain the pillars that makes advance the society. I would like to take this opportunity to salute the courage and determination of its mothers and daughters who struggle daily to offer their children and their families a more just society. This day is also a time for me to express my gratitude to the women's league activists who fought for the right to vote and the right to education for all women. Also, my tributes go directly to these militants who disappeared during the earthquake of January 12, 2010 : Myriam Merlet, Margalie Marcelin, among others, who managed to keep lit the torch of the struggle of women in the country. As a People's Deputy, I solemnly promise to continue working for parity between men and women through my actions in Parliament.
