iciHaiti - Culture : D-Day, President Moïse at the Carnival of Gonaïves 17/02/2017 11:24:57 In the city center on Fabre Geffrard street, the stands are erected on both sides, the workers carry the last touches and the organizers are working hard. The mayor of Gonaïves recalls that on the occasion of the Carnival, on Friday 17 February, the Heads of Schools will keep the doors of their schools closed so that the children can participate in the carnival. Trade, private and public institutions will operate until noon. In the aftermath of the carnival, on Monday, February 20, trade, private and public institutions will function as usual. However, the doors of the schools of the place will remain closed. Classes will resume normally on Tuesday, February 22nd. The musical formations : T-Vice, Barikad Crew, Mass Konpa and Djakout #1on the course accompanied by Chachou Boys, Nouvo, the band to Oky Jems, Jackito and two other local groups : Frajil Mizik and Revolisyon Fanm. Tony Mix et D.J. Fanfan sont également de la partie. The walking bands, dont Staff Band, Talonad, Laloz, are preparing for this afternoon. This Friday evening, at the Carnival of Students, the D.J. and Revolisyon Fanm will perform. Saturday, Frajil, Mass Konpa, Nouvo and Djakout #1 will enter the show. And on Sunday, the festivities will be closed by T-Vice, Jackito, Barikad Crew and Chachou Boys. The parade will strat front the APN to the street of Quai and the tanks will take the direction of the street Lamartinière before reaching the street Fabre Geffrard. TB/ iciHaiti
