Dozens of people walking, private and tradespeople and the vehicles remained blocked in rows unable to cross the bridge on which the protestors had erected barricades with various objects. "Until the Dominicans let this woman go with her children who are Dominicans, nobody will cross the bridge," declared a highly motivated Haitian protester... During this time the Dominican army and other border control officers (CESFRONT) intensified their surveillance around the crossing of the border of Dajabon to avoid any incident.
