iciHaiti - France : The diaspora congratulates the election of Jovenel Moïse
Jean-Pierre Roy, President of the Federation of the Haitian Diaspora in Europe "FEDHE" in a message addressed to the newly elected President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse, "presents his most warm congratulations on your election and takes the opportunity to express his wishes to you for the new year 2017. The Federation remains convinced that these long-awaited results will finally pave the way for political stability in Haiti, a prerequisite for placing the country on the path of development and progress.

We, the members of the FEDHE, are convinced that your team and you will make every effort to strengthen republican institutions, establish a rule of law, that obeys the laws and recommendations of the constitution, establish a society based on justice which will apply to all citizens. We also hope to see the general states of the nation realized in order to guarantee true social cohesion and unprecedented national unity.

Mr President, may this new year 2017 enable the Diaspora to renew its commitment to participate in the process of reconstruction and sustainable development in Haiti and to continue working for the integration of Haitians living abroad into the social, political and economic life of Haiti."
