iciHaiti - Gold Cup 2017 : «D» day for the Grenadiers
Carlo Marcelin, the Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Thursday attended the first training session of the Grenadiers, arrived Wednesday in Couva on the island of Trinidad (Trinidad and Tobago) the city designated by the host country to welcome the three play-off matches of the CFU for the Gold Cup 2017.

Carlo Marcelin, in charge of the FHF mission, reminded the players of their common mission which is nothing more than the qualification for the rest of the playoffs "the whole Nation will be grateful to you if you succeed in this happy ending".

According to the medical team, all players currently present to Couva are fit to play the competition which started Wednesday evening with the surprise victory of Suriname at the expense of the team of Trinidad & Tobago, beaten (2-1) after extra time. The Haitian technical staff attended this match between the future opponents of the Grenadiers and has already an idea of what awaits the national team that first confronts Suriname with the spirit of victory upon pain to see the last match against Trinidad without interest in case of failure of the Grenadiers against the Surinamese.

The Grenadiers trained on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Ato Boldon Stadium and will get to know the playing surface before playing Suriname on Friday at 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 pm in Port-au-Prince, a small change to the schedule) . They will play their second game Sunday against Suriname also at 7:00 p.m. (local time).
