Learn more about Joël Des Rosiers : Born in Les Cayes in Haiti on October 26, 1951, he is the descendant of a signatory of the Independence Act. Joël Des Rosiers spent his teenage years in Canada when his family goes into exile. He went to study in Strasbourg where he became involved with the situationist movement in the early 1970s. Doctor, poet and essayist, he traveled the world, especially a long journey to the Sahel, before publishing various collections of poems, including "Tribu", "Savanes" and an essay "Théories Caraïbes".
