Monday, Camille Edouard Jr., Minister of Justice and Public Security, has proceeded to the installation of the Presidential Commission on Prolonged Preventive Detention (CPDPP).

This Commission's objective are : establish the national list of suspects in prolonged pretrial detention situation through all civilian prisons and Police Stations used as detention center at the 18 jurisdictions of first instance of the Republic.

It is also responsible for making recommendations for the programming of criminal hearings in order to treat cases identified expeditiously in accordance with the law.
