As part of the efforts of Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Disabled Persons (BSEIPH) to harmonize its relations with associations and institutions working in the field of people with special needs, an important meeting took place between the BSEIPH and of Deaf People organizations operating in the metropolitan area.

The exchanges have allowed to assess the needs of deaf people, to better understand their difficulties and expectations. Of resolutions were taken to support organizations working with deaf people in their projects and efforts to improve the living conditions of the population with special needs.

Following this meeting, the organization present including the National Federation of the Deaf of Haiti (FNSH), the Association of the Deaf of Lévêque Haiti (ASLH), the Actions Panel for the Training of Deaf and Dumb of Haiti GAESMH) and the Haitian Center for the Deaf and Dumb(CHESM), expressed their satisfaction. For its part the BSEIPH reiterated its promise to respect its commitments.
