A meeting was held this week between the General Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works (MTPTC), of executives of National Authorising office of European Development Fund (EDF) and representatives of "SOS Centre-ville", in the presence of Minister of Public Works Jacques Evelt Eveillard and its Director General Charles Raymond Pierre.

The objective of this meeting was to present the Urban Development project of the Government for downtown Port-au-Prince, which will be financed by the 11th EDF.

"SOS Centre-Ville" took the opportunity to present their project of a modern city, safe and functional.

Following this meeting, the proposal of a permanent commission, composed of various state and private stakeholders was adopted. The Commission will have for mission to reflect constantly on this important urban project and to make proposals while ensuring consistency across the different actors.
