iciHaiti - Education: D-9, from the beginning of the literacy campaign in Panyol
Following the screening operation started in Panyol (commune of Kenscoff) on July 12 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-18038-icihaiti-literacy-launch-of-the-screening-operation-in-panyol.html , first phase of the literacy process, Dr. Louis G. Lamothe Foundation (FLGL)) had an important working session with senior officials of the Secretariat of State for Literacy (SEA) and the Cuban Educational Brigade (CLB) on the implementation of the program "Aprann" and "Yo si Puedo" to Panyol.

Screening was carried out in Peno, Fon Milò, Nan Merite, Nan Souprann, Bwa Panyol, Kamachan, Yawazou, Ba Panyol, Anba Teleko, Bwa Gode, Tète Legim, Nan Tranchan and Doko by senior executives of the SEA together with the CLB.

Screening results: 350 adults were listed in the 14 areas for the first phase and 16 instructors and 2 supervisors were detected.

The monitors and supervisors will receive training from August 29 to 31 by the SEA, which will also be in charge of supervision process together with the Cuban Brigade.

Training materials will be deployed to Panyol on 1 and 2 September in order the campaign can start Saturday, September 3. 14 literacy classes will be operational in the area starting from the week of 5 to 9 September.

Dr. Louis G. Lamothe Foundation renews its commitment to support the community in this remote locality of the commune of Kenscoff in its quest for a better life for all its inhabitants.
