Ms. Florence Elie, Protector of Citizens has just recruited, as Deputy Protector of Citizens, former Chief Inspector General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Fritz Jean, whose installation took place Thursday, July 7 2016, in the presence of police and judicial authorities, representatives of international organizations and civil society working in the human rights sector, executives and employees of the OPC as well as relatives and friends.

This recruitment is a novelty in the history of the Office for the Protection of Cotoyen (OPC) and a milestone in the process of institutional strengthening, in order to be closer to the people of Haiti in order to make more accessible the services for the latter.

Recall that the OPC is an independent national institution under the Haitian Constitution of 1987 and the Paris Principles.
