Jessy C. Petit-Frère, Minister of Commerce and Industry (MCI), Daphnée Benoît Delsoin, Minister of Public Health and Population, Pierre Guito Laurore, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Rural development (MARNDR) notify producers and wheat flour importers that "in accordance with the Notice of 13 November 2014 (MCI/BNH/0317/14) and in accordance with generally accepted standards, potassium bromate levels in wheat flour is reduced to 0 ppm or 0 mg/kg.

Therefore, the use of bromate Potassium is prohibited in wheat flour imported and locally manufactured products distributed in the Haitian market, from 1 July 2016.

The people concerned are requested to take all necessary steps to ensure respect of this measure. Violators of this provision will be prosecuted and punished in accordance with laws."
