iciHaïti - Petit-Goâve : Swearing of 3 new mayors
Wednesday at the Court of First Instance of Petit Goâve, was held the swearing of newly elected mayors of Petit Goâve, Grand-Goâve and Léogâne.

Before Judge Grégoire Bélange and the Government Commissioner, Me. Lénor Julien, the members of the municipal cartel of Petit-Goâve (Jean Samson Limongy, Délord Desgranges, Marie Raymonde Mainviel) those of municipal cartel of Grand-Goâve (Maxo Pinchinat, Jean René Jacob, Yvrose Desnoyer) and those of the municipal cartel of Léogâne (Mauclaire Désir, Marie Préda Saint-Fort and Serge Gérôme), respectively sworn in as mayor in the presence of their supporters and sympathizers, the police commissioner, Jacques Ader, the deputy of Petit-Goâve, Alexandre Germain Fils and that of Léogâne, he President of the Order of Lawyers of Petit-Goâve, Me Alcide Laguerre, of members of the press, radio and television...

Speaking on the occasion, the holders mayors of Léogâne and Grand-Goâve promised to do everything possible to properly administer their respective commune and to provide services to the population.

As for Limongy Samson Jean, mayor of Petit-Goâve, he pledged to fight against vagrancy, to restore public order, to regularly collect garbage, to enforce the established authorities and citizens...

"Building a new Petit-Goâve, here is the mission I set for myself. I therefore advocate a new beginning... I know that we will meet on our passing of barriers and thorns of all kinds, but we will provide the necessary means to deal with it [...] Law and order will be restored in Petit-Goâve [...] Garbage collection, the establishment of a secure environment, the fight against unhealthy will be our priority... By 3 months, we will do everything for the town of PetitGoâve is clean. Then we will put at the disposal of household of garbage bags and if we catches a person throwing garbage or dumping of construction materials on the street, it will be punished according to law..."
