As part of the Day of the Child in Haiti, the Directorate of Prison Administration (DAP) in partnership with the various child protection stakeholders, organised a party for the 133 children detained in the Rehabilitation Center for Minors in Conflict with the Law (CERMICOL) (CERMICOL, Delmas 33).

This day was marked by the presence of American artist of Haitian origin Umi Vaughan.

Accompanied by Pierre Roldy Maurice and Marc Elie Michel, two representatives of the Office of Citizen Protection (OPC), the artist has distributed footballs balls to detained minors. A great way to open a door on learning the values necessary for life in community. The OPC welcomed this patriotic gesture of Umi Vaughan and took the opportunity to encourage other actors of civil society to participate in the development of children detained in CERMICOL.
