iciHaiti - Social : Inauguration of Village Guy Alexandre
The Village Guy Alexandre located at K-Cité, Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite (3rd communal section of Labady), built by the NGO Food For the Poor (150 house planned), on a plot of 32 ha given by the Haitian Government was inaugurated as part of the week of celebration of 30 years of the NGO in Haiti.

This village was built for returnees from the Dominican Republic in order to reintegrate them into the Haitian community as well as needy families in the area https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17288-haiti-humanitarian-food-for-the-poor-relocates-76-haitian-families-with-dignity.html

The implementation of integrated villages represents a strategic challenge part of the new five-year plan of Food For the Poor. Over a period of five years, the plan consists of build communities by rallying individuals around a single cause thanks to the supervision of a team of social workers and provide communities income generating activities (such as agriculture, animal husbandry, beekeeping, fisheries, small businesses) for their financial independence.
