This village was built for returnees from the Dominican Republic in order to reintegrate them into the Haitian community as well as needy families in the area https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17288-haiti-humanitarian-food-for-the-poor-relocates-76-haitian-families-with-dignity.html The implementation of integrated villages represents a strategic challenge part of the new five-year plan of Food For the Poor. Over a period of five years, the plan consists of build communities by rallying individuals around a single cause thanks to the supervision of a team of social workers and provide communities income generating activities (such as agriculture, animal husbandry, beekeeping, fisheries, small businesses) for their financial independence.
