A delegation of social workers and filmmakers of "Jeunes visionnaires d'Haïti" are in Trois-Rivières (Quebec) to make a documentary-fiction presenting the Law on Youth Protection of Quebec. During its stay, the Haitian delegation will meet various social stakeholders of the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec and will work with the Trois-Rivières organization "Point de rue".
"We would like to work together to see how we can make a law for the protection of children in Haiti," declared Frantzy Narcius, the head of "Jeunes visionnaires d'Haïti", which coordinates the filming. Recalling that Haiti more than 200,000 children, called "Restavek" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16846-icihaiti-social-over-200-000-domestic-slaves-under-15-years-in-the-country.html , separated from their families, live in the hope of a better education, but they are often victims of abuse and work in conditions that approximate slavery.
