iciHaiti - Diaspora : A Haitian candidate for Montreal North town hall
The former leader of the Young Haitian Chamber of Commerce and former political advisor for Youth and Social Development to the office of mayor of Montreal, Kerlande Mibel (41), an influential member of the Haitian community involved with various organizations, will represent the opposition party for the election of mayor of Montreal-North on April 24 under the banner of the party "Project Montreal".

By designating a Haitian of origin, to run for the mayor of Montreal North, the president of Projet Montreal, Nathalie Goulet said wanted to "send a clear message to Denis Coderre."

"It is time for a frontal attack against poverty and social stall. It is time to focus on youth, facilitate employment, stimulate entrepreneurship. We can make this district a creative and inspiring platform [...] I am motivated, confident, surrounded by a real team that will make sure to build a rich hope project in Montreal North," declared Kerlande Mibel more comabtive and confident than ever.

Kerlande Mibel will face in this election, a tough opponent, Christine Black, the candidate of the Team of Denis Coderre, the 44th Mayor of Montreal since 2013.
