Friday, Pere Torres, General Director of ATM de Barcelona (Autoritat del Transport Metropolità), Enric Fossas Colet, the rector of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña - UPC), and Marc Antoine Archer, rector of the Haitian University of Distance Learning (Université de Haïtienne Enseignement à Distance - UNHED), signed a 2-years training cooperation agreement.

As reported by the three institutions, the agreement signed includes staff exchange programs, research projects, undergraduate education, senior doctorate cycles and ongoing training and exchange on issues of public transport and mobility.

As part of the promotion of the transport system of sustainable mobility, one of the first collaborative actions consist of holding a course on urban mobility in Port-au-Prince by specialists of the UPC, of the ATM and technical staff of the UNHED for the formation of the first engineers and techniciansin transportation in Haiti.
