In bookstores since February 16, 2016, the collective essay "Haiti. From dictatorship to democracy ?" published by Éditions Mémoire d’Encrier, under the direction of Bérard Cénatus, Stéphane Douailler, Michèle Duvivier Pierre-Louis and Étienne Tassin, with a preface by Étienne Balibar, brings together the interventions presented at a symposium conducted in June 2014 at the Karibe Convention Center in Port-au-Prince, on the theme "From Dictatorship to Democracy? Transition, memory, justice".

This book evokes "the urgency to reflect on the future of Haiti." Working memory and of restitution, this collective is a singular contribution to the emergence of a democracy to come.
