iciHaiti - Cholera : More than 300,000 Haitians will be vaccinated in 2016 14/02/2016 08:53:08
The World Health Organization (PAHO-WHO) and UNICEF, support the government of Haiti in its efforts to achieve the target of 600,000 people vaccinated against cholera during the period 2015-2016. Vaccination campaigns against cholera have so far reached 285,534 people and more than 300,000 will be vaccinated in 2016.
This campaign falls within the framework of the National Plan for the Eradication of cholera developed by the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), which aims the vaccination of the highest risk of contamination of cholera population because of their location in vulnerable areas (30 to 40% of the population, or about 600,000 people).
