Thursday, at the release of the latest world ranking of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Haiti thanks to its qualification to the tournament Copa America Centenario https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16273-haiti-flash-the-grenadiers-qualified-for-the-copa-america-centenario.html , gaining 14 places from the 79th rank https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16279-icihaiti-football-fifa-world-ranking-haiti-fell-by-2-places.html to the 65th position.

FIFA stressed that Haiti "is the French-speaking nation, which recorded the strongest growth this month."

The national selection remains 7th in the Football Confederation zone of North American, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF) dominated by Mexico followed by Costa Rica, the United States, Trinidad, Jamaica and Panama just before Haiti.

Note that globally, the Grenadiers ahead two potential opponents in the Copa America Centenario (3 to 26 June 2016), Bolivia (72th) and Venezuela (81st), whose the draw for the group stage of the Copa America will take place on February 21 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16507-icihaiti-football-patrice-neveu-in-europe.html
