The Haitian crisis concern various sectors of Dominican society, while the representatives of the Haitian organizations in the country call for the establishment of a dialogue between the authorities of Haiti and the opposition forces to avoid a major crisis with unpredictable consequences after February 7.

That is why William Charpenter, President of the National Migration Table of Dominican Republic, warned that if the President Martelly did not give the power to the Constitutional date of February 7, 2016, it may occur serious events in the neighboring country and an uncontrolled "escape" of Haitians toward the Dominican Republic.

However, William Charpente appealed to the Dominican government to allow the entry into the country as a humanitarian manner, of women and children of Haiti, in the case of an outbreak of violence in Haiti after 7 February.

For his part, Andrés Navarro Dominican Minister of Foreign Affairs, said the Dominican government is betting that Haiti's political forces manage to reach an agreement that will allow them to overcome the political crisis.
