A Haitian boy aged 13, was attacked by three of his countrymen, as he slept near the Central Park of Pedernales, Dominican Republic. The attackers tried to burn him alive, causing him significant burns.

Two of the three assailants, minors, were arrested in connection with this attack and are being held at the police station of the city. They admitted being at the scene, but he accuses the third Haitian, who managed to escape to Haiti, to be the main author of this attempted murder. According to available information, the principal author of this terrible assault was motivated by revenge, the victim allegedly assaulted his brother.

The young victim, is currently in the hospital Elio Fiallo where he's treated for burns of different degrees on different parts of his body. His life however is not in danger.
