As part of the COP21, the International Francophone Organisation (OIF) has dedicated the day of Thursday to Haiti, in order to share experiences with other Francophone countries, especially in Africa.
This day allowed the delegation to Haiti led by Dominique Pierre, Minister of the Environment, to present the situation in relation to climate change with an emphasis not only on how the phenomenon affects the country but also the national effort to address them.
On this day performed around the theme "From the Mountains to the Sea" Haiti has placed emphasis on interventions in the southern region including the creation of protected marine and land areas. Posters were exposed and a documentary film was screened after the presentation on the ecosystems-based approach for risk reduction.
