iciHaiti - Sports : The MJSAC will provide its assistance to the Haitian Judo Federation
Jimmy Albert, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action met recently with Martin Télémaque and Dional Jean, respectively President and Secretary General of the Haitian Judo Federation (FHJ).

Following this meeting, the Ministry decided to establish a partnership with the FHJ as part of the implementation of some vital activities for the development of this sport:

MJSAC participation as official partner, in the organization of the States General of the Haitian Judo and of next national competitions Senior and Juvenile of Judo.

Integration of judo in the first phase of school sports program implemented by the Ministry through the implementation of a pilot project aimed at development of Judo in a minimum of 10 schools covering the three judo leagues operating in the country.

Framing of the FHJ, especially on the technical and logistical plans for the organization of the first edition of the International Cup Ernst Laraque (on the occasion of the International Judo Day in October 2016), in memory of this pioneer and former President of the FHJ passed away in October 2012.

Support for judo participation in certain international competitions counting for the qualification to the next Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in Summer 2016.

The Minister Albert took the opportunity to salute the performance of the Haitian Judo internationally over the last 25 years and applauds the efforts of all the men and women who worked in often precarious conditions, to achieve these results.
