Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education, at the head of a delegation represents Haiti in the 38th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which began, Tuesday, November 3 in Paris and ending on 18 November.

Wednesday, discussions focused particularly on the issue of policy in education. During this day was adopted the Framework for Action 2030 and the Report on the teacher training policy.

Let's recall that this Conference, which meets every two years, is composed of representatives of all Member States of UNESCO and Associate Members. Are also invited to participate as observers, of non-Member States, intergovernmental organizations, NGOs and foundations. The General Conference determines the policies and main lines of work of UNESCO and adopt a program and budget for the Organization for the following two years.
