This appointment was challenged by the Mambo Euvonie Georges Auguste, Grand Servant within the Haitian National Vodouisante Confederation (KNVA) due to non respects of criteria https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-15385-icihaiti-religion-the-new-chief-of-voodoo-sector-challenged.html
In order to normalize the situation, on Thursday at a press conference, KNVA announced that Euvonie Georges Auguste was appointed acting Supreme Chief of Haitian voodoo, replacing Augustin Saint Clou which also held this position by interim.
Euvonie Georges Auguste will be responsible for organizing elections in 90 days to find a successor to Max Beauvoir. The submission of applications is open from 30 September 2015.
