The Office of Citizen Protection (OPC), in partnership with "Edika Solèy" and the French Cooperation in Haiti, has developed a specialized educational magazine for children titled "Boubou le citoyen" (Boubou the citizen) [Announced in preview last June https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14244-icihaiti-justice-150-juvenile-inmates-celebrate-national-child-day.html ]

This magazine aimed at students of classes of hird and fourth year fundamental intended to establish a culture of respect for human rights among the citizens and leaders of tomorrow.

As part of the implementation of this new pedagogical tool, the OPC organized a 5-day training session for 40 teachers on child rights and methodology of use of this tool. This training, which ends this Saturday, October 3 will allow participants-teachers to better awareness students around among other, topics related to civismes, ecology and hygiene.

The OPC is convinced that the citizenship education is an indispensable element in children's learning and that schools must play its role of socialization as an actor of change.
