The National Police of Haiti bitterly learned the news of the murder of the police officer Rony Antoine (27) belonging to the 24th promotion and assigned to the Penitentiary Administration. He was attacked Thursday by gunmen on a motorcycle near the TOTAL petrol station at the entrance of the road of airport at the height of the old aviation runway.

Shortly after, a suspect named Isaac Lambert was arrested in Delmas 5, after being shot by a police patrol. Taken to hospital by police the suspect succumbed to his injuries.

The Directorate General extends his sincere condolences to the bereaved family and friends of the officer and shares his great pain.
