437 bags of garlic were seized by members of the Intelligence Directorate (G2) of the army, weighing about 22 pounds each, totaling about 9.614 pounds, found inside a truck driven by Tanel Gonzaga Vargas Almonte, which was arrested at a military checkpoint in the sector "el Laureal" on the road of Montecristi-Dajabón as part of the "Shield" operation executed by the army along the border. The man who offered no resistance when arrested, said the truck was loaded with "fiber and thread."
