Thursday at Le Plaza hotel, Me Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice accompanied by the State Secretary of Justice, Me Jacquenet Oxilus attended the 6th Congress of the National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH), trade union body responsible for bringing the claims of judges

Me Durin Duret Jr., the outgoing President of the association, thanked and welcomed the presence of the Minister, stressing that it was one of the few times that a Minister of Justice participated in such conferences.

For his part, the Minister Casimir renewed the commitment of the Administration Martelly to continue to work on the independence of the Judiciary and to contribute to improving the conditions of life and work of judges.

Also, the judge Durin Duret Junior of the Court of Appeal of Port-au-Prince was reelected president of ANAMAH, in elections held Friday, June 26 at the Thérèse room, Le Plaza hotel. He received 80 votes against 3.
