iciHaiti - Justice : 150 juvenile inmates celebrate National Child Day 18/06/2015 12:05:37 In her words for the circumstance, the Protector of Citizens raised the issue of the promotion and protection of children's rights in Haiti and called for the full respect of their rights despite their situation of detention. The ceremony was preceded by a talk "on the self-esteem", hosted by two psychologists (Jean Etienne Rollet and Dervis Witson) and followed by a performance by artist Roosevelt Saillant aka "BIC" and Tamara Suffren, during which the children had the opportunity to sing and talk with the artists around the theme chosen by the OPC "Kenbe tet ou, kraze bet ou, kew nan tet ou". The OPC took the opportunity to give the premiere of its upcoming magazine entitled "Boubou le Citoyen". The event ended with a dinner offered to the 150 children-inmates and prison staff by the Protector of Citizens. IH/ iciHaiti
