Inspired by a project of Densy Noel and of Ice Bucket Challenge, the members of the Gonaïvienne Citizens' Initiative (ICG) will launch on June 20th, the Challenge for the reforestation of Gonaïves.

On June 20, the ICG members that promotes citizen engagement, will each plant a tree. They will take pictures and will post it on facebook to ask 5 people (friends, family members, neighbors, promotion comrades, co-workers) to do the same.

This first reforestation campaign, which will run until 30 October, aims to plant 4,000 trees (fruit and forest). In a second phase, each participant will be asked to prove that he has taken care of his tree. This Phase II is that of the "ki wotè pye bwa w ?"

George Valmé who is fighting for years for the environment and hydrology expert, Jean Jolicoeur, will be the special guests of the ICG for this activity.
