On Thursday, a Haitian citizen (V.C. 37 years old) pleaded guilty in Miami to have smuggled into the United States last March, 19 people of Haitian and Dominican origin, whose 5 of them had criminal records and had already been deported from the United States after being convicted and purged a prison sentence.

He admitted to a judge that on the night of 15 March, he had led a boat from the Bahamas to Florida coast with 19 undocumented immigrants some of whom had paid nearly $ 7,000 US dollars to reach US territory.

Accused of illegal smuggling of people and to have tried to reintroduce people are already convicted in the United States, he risks for each of these two charges, sentences ranging from 3 to 10 years in prison. The sentence will be delivered in August.
