Tuesday Fresner Dorcin, the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development launched at Historic Park of the Sugarcane, the work of the reflection table on the sustainable management of watersheds lands in Haiti.

This joint initiative of the Ministry and the World Bank, brought together for the day, experts, officials of the Bank and from the State, as well as young agronomists around the theme. These exchanges were intended to take stock of the state of current knowledge on the operating practices of watershed both in Haiti and other parts of the world.

Panelists and participants worked on a monitoring mechanism to enable the Ministry to improve its strategic and operational capacities in its leadership role of the agricultural sector.
