iciHaiti - Social : Nearly 100,000 foreigners registered in the PNRE, could be regularized
Washington González, Dominican Deputy Minister of the Interior and Police, revealed that currently 201,731 foreigners (all nationalities) living in an irregular migratory situation in the Dominican Republic, were registered in the National Plan for Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE). He estimates that this number could reach 210,000 (mostly Haitian), on June 17, the deadline of PNRE.

He indicated that by August, the Dominican government could issue more than 50,000 migratory cards for foreigners who meet the requirements of PNRE and after analysis of all the cases filed, the number could ultimately, amount to nearly 100,000 people (just under 50% of applicants).
