Haiti - FLASH : Roads blocked, Champ-de-Mars cordoned this Tuesday
This Monday at the Ministry of Communication, Gotson Jeune Director of Traffic and Road Police (DCPR) gave a press conference on the adoption of special measures concerning the movement in specific arteries of the capital on the occasion of the visit of french President François Hollande https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13836-haiti-politic-programme-of-the-visit-of-francois-hollande-in-haiti.html in the country this Tuesday, May 12th

Here are some announcements "From 8:00 to 10:30 am this Tuesday, May 12, traffic will be prohibited on the Airport Road.

From 8:00 am to 10:30 am on May 12, motorists are advised to avoid the arteries of Boulevard Toussaint Louverture, Avenue Martin Luther King, Avenue Lamartinière, Bois-Verna and of Champ-de-Mars.

Users are advised to avoid these routes and preferred routes of Delmas and Lalue.

This Tuesday, May 12 the area of Champ-de-Mars will be completely cordoned due to the visit of the French president.

For the day of 12 May 2015, the stopping point of DIYITE buses of Champ-de-Mars will be front the premises of the Ciné Capitol.

Police officers will be deployed at various points of the official route selected for the delegation in order to to guide drivers on routes to consider or avoid.

Late in the day for the return of the French delegation at the airport, other roads will be blocked, from the Church of St. Thérère in Petion-ville to the airport Toussaint Louverture.
