First International Conference on Health Financing
On 28 and 29 April 2015, at the Hotel Karibe Convention Center, under the patronage of President Michel Martelly and under the leadership of Prime Minister Paul, the Ministry of Public Health and Population, organized the first International Conference on health Financing in Haiti on the theme "access to health care for all in Haiti: Challenges and Opportunities for its funding."

HQ of UDMO in Cité Soleil
The new headquarters (provisional) of the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO) is now in Cite Soleil. A decision of Vladimir Parison, the Departmental Director of the West (DDO) of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) who had angered nearly 200 agents UDMO concerned, because of inadequate premises. The agents of UDMO should settle soon in new permanent premises in Cité Soleil.

Jacmel: Two nights of screenings
Again this year the French Alliance offers two nights of projections (Free admission) in coordination with the organizers of the Jacmel Agricultural Fair on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday, April 29 at 7:00 pm at the French Alliance. Each of the two evenings will begin with the screening of a documentary featuring a project conducted by the partners of the Fair in the Jacmel region. New this year, then we invite you to discover a short documentary made by students of the Ciné Institute, followed by a screening of a documentary proposed by the Franco-Haitian cultural network. In addition to these two evenings, partners of the Fair invite you to discover a photographic exhibition of their projects. This exhibition will be presented throughout the week of the Agricultural Fair in the French Alliance court.

Cycling Competition
Yesterday at Champ de mars at 4:30 cyclists took the start of the Grand Prix of the Ministry of Youth (MJSAC). Pathof the competition : Rue Magny - Rue Magloire Ambroise (Ethnologie) - Rue St Honoré - Rue Capois - Ave. Jn PAul II - Alix Roi - Ave Lamartinière- Rue Magny. LThe cyclists covering a total distance of 76 Km (16 laps). The race results are : 1st: Sheler Cadet 2nd: Willy Joseph 3rd: Augustin Jemson 4th: Herby Charles 5th: Jacky Prenelus.

Tour of Minister Rotchild François Jr.
Sunday, Rothchild François Jr., the Minister of Communication, visited the work of reconstruction of Canal Davezac (first section of Camp Perrin), with a length of 18 km. This infrastructure will allow the irrigation of 2,500 hectares of land or a good part of the plain of Camp Perrin and Les Cayes. He then went on the sites of the "Dolen" bridge a few miles from the airport Antoine Simon Cayes, which will connect the commune of Maniche to Les Cayes and will solve the usual difficulties in the rainy season.

Open Day at the National Institute of Coffee
