Passport, bad news for...
On Friday, Prime Minister Paul Evans announced on a radio station of the capital that "by the end of June, will be solved the problem of out of stock of passport booklets" good for some but bad news for our compatriots living in the Dominican Republic awaiting this vital document to to registerin the National Regularisation Plan of Foreigner which will end on June 17.

3 winner at the national competition of cocoa
Friday as part of his tour in the North, the Head of State attended the awards ceremony of the first national competition of cocoa held in Villa Cana in Vaudreuil. The President honored the three winners of the contest organized by the Centre for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for development, "Bioversity International" and "International Cocoa Awards" , as part of the 2015 edition of the "Cocoa of Excellence" program to be held at Salon du Chocolat in Paris in October 2015. The Head of State congratulated the three winners and wished them to do good figure in Paris.

Sanctions lifted for Haiti
Thursday, Fresner Dorcin, the Minister of Agriculture (MARNDR) participated in the multi-stakeholder workshop on the assessment and programming of the operational plan of the Project for the Development of Small Irrigation (PPI-II) for the period April-September 2015.The project, co-funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), has experienced from January 2014 to March 2015 a difficult situation, with the suspension of co-financing funds withdrawal rights. Through the efforts of the project team with the support of MARNDR and the Ministry of Economy, the sanction was lifted on March 31, 2015. It was emphasized the need to catch up the delays in execution under the completion date of the project. To propose a pragmatic programming, realistic, meeting all expectations, it was decided to organize a multi-stakeholder workshop of exchanges and reflections of 22 to 25 April 2015.
