The Dominican truckers protected
Blas Peralta, the President of the National Federation of Dominican Transportation (FENATRADO), said that since Monday the Dominican truckers began to return again in Haiti, protected by soldiers of the Minustah and the National Police of Haiti. Peralta declared that daily in and out of Haiti 160 Dominican trucks with various types of goods. At the most dangerous transit point, in Dajabón, Peralta has proposed the construction of five storage facilities in Haitian territory, but near the border where the Dominican truckers could deliver the goods, so that Haitians themselves can ensure distribution.
