The agronomist Jean André Victor and former Deputy Serge Jean Louis, two officials of MOPOD indicated that MOPOD acronym is no longer means "Patriotic Movement for Democratic Opposition," but now "People's Patriotic Movement Dessalinien" while maintaining the same acronym.
