4.3 magnitude earthquake
Monday at 2:11:30 local time, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3, depth 10.0 km, occurred at sea 51km southwest Bombardopolis, 102km north-east of Jérémie, 116km to the west of Gonaïves and 187km northwest of the capital Port-au-Prince, no damage been reported.

President François Hollande confirmed his visit in Haiti
The Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in France, informs that the President of the French Republic, François Hollande will visit Haiti on May 12 [at the end of his visit to Martinique, Guadeloupe and Cuba]. Investment projects in the hotel sector
On Monday, the Minister of Tourism had a meeting with Mr. Manuel L Knight regarding the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to the investment projects in the hospitality sector in Haiti following the funding requests produced by Haitian potential investors to the "Structured Finance and Corporation" (SCF) and the "Inter-American Investment Corporation" (IIC) two entities of the IDB.

Eco-Tourism
The Ministry of the Environment of Haiti informs that within the framework of the project of contribution to the promotion of eco-tourism and conservation of biodiversity in the area of Fort Drouet, 2,000 fruit and forest trees were planted and maintained n Fort Drouet and 250 native trees along the road leading to the Fort Drouet.

Progress of the project TOSTEM
As part of the advancement of tourism project around the sites of Trafficking, Slavery and their Memory (TOSTEM) in Haiti, a meeting was held at the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH). The project TOSTEM is an initiative of the Nantes Association "The Memory of the Rings", conducted in collaboration with four major partners including the Tourism Association of Haiti, African Slavery Memorial Society, Antigua and Barbuda, the Route of the Chefferies, Cameroon and The National Federation of Tourist Offices and Initiatives Unions of Senegal. The MUPANAH is involved, particularly in the design and implementation of the traveling exhibition on the problematic of history and memory of the slave trade and slavery.
