Project of Green Hotel

Friday 13 March, the Departmental Directorate of Southeast Tourism hosted the CEO of "Berrywhale" Mr. Victor Pizarro and Sandra Elhert in exploratory visit, which plan to build an environmentally friendly hotel in Haiti. After having visited the west and its mountains, Ile-à-Vache and Côtes-de-Fer, they spent a few hours in Jacmel where they tasted dishes in Raymond-les-Bains. They then visited with wonder, the Historical Center and its craft shops, before traveling to the North and on the Côte des Arcadins.

Passed away at 114 years and 26 days !

On the night of Sunday 15 to Monday, March 16, 2015, Mrs. Célita Joseph better known under the name of "Madan Ti Kout" died at her residence in Côte-Plage 16 (Carrefour), at the age of 114 years and 26 days. Devoted and faithful of the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help of Côte-Plage, Madan Ti Kout was born February 18, 1901.

Board of Directors of the Providence Hospital

This Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Health has completed the installation of the members of the Board of the Hospital La Providence in Gonaives. The ceremony was attended among others by: the Prime Minister, Paul Evans, the First Lady Sophia Martelly, the Minister of Health Dr. Florence D. Guillaume, as well as Canada's ambassador to Haiti, Ms. Paula Caldwell St Onge.

Redevelopment of the Morisseau Beach

Prior to the official presentation of the work of redevelopment of Morisseau Beach in Saint Louis du Sud, Karine Condé, the Departmental Director south of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, made a site visit to ensure good completion of the works.

Montreal Haitian diaspora represented in The Voice

The Haiti Consulate General in Montreal, welcomes the remarkable performance of Gaya Michel Élie, in the Battle of "The Voice" last March 14 and its interpretation of the "Uptown Funk" music by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. The Consulate General urges members of the Haitian community in Montreal, to support our compatriots, Gaya Michel Élie and Dominique Fils-Aimé who participate in this competition by voting for them in the quarterfinals.

Festivities dedicated to the Citadelle

Saturday at the Town Hall of Milot, Dithny Joan Raton, the Minister of Culture met with local authorities, about the organization of festivities dedicated to the Citadelle which take place during Holy Week. An event that raises once again the need to revive the inter-ministerial Commission for Historical National Park Management.
