Installation of the new Minister of Trade and Industry
Wednesday, Wilson Laleau, the outgoing Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the new Minister of Economy and Finance, proceeded with the installation of Jude Hervé Day, the new owner of the MCI "Jude Hervé Day is an experienced person who knows the Haitian government," declared Minister Laleau. The Minister Hervé Day declared "I am here not to replace Mr. Laleau but to continue his work [...] We will work with my colleagues in government to promote economic and social development of the country."

Haiti to FITUR 2015
The Embassy of the Republic of Haiti, to the Kingdom of Spain, informs the Haitian community, the press, Cultural and Tourist Organisations and the Public in general, that Haiti will be represented at the 35th edition of the International Fair Tourism (FITUR) from 27 January to 1 February 2015, at IFEMA (Madrid), by an official delegation headed by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries. Changing attitudes in relation to tourism
Wednesday at the Ministry of Tourism, was held a workshop around the awareness campaign and to change the public attitudes to tourism, n the presence of the Minister Villedrouin and executives of the ministry. The campaign aims to raise awareness on the tourism development potential as a vector for improving the socio-economic living conditions in Haiti through programs oriented towards promoting sustainable development. The campaign, that also wants to be an incentive to the practice of domestic tourism, will run until August 2015 and will receive technical support from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
