5.585 Haitians tried to illegally enter the US in 2014
According to the US Coast Guard, for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, the US authorities have captured, intercepted or expelled at least 5,585 Haitians 940 Cuban and hundreds of Dominicans and other from Caribbean countries, trying to enter illegally into the United States. This is at least 3,000 migrants intercepted more than the previous year. It is also the largest number of Haitian migrants documented in 5 years and the largest number of Cuban in 6 years.
