Sunday, Rudy Hériveaux, the Minister of Communication declared on social networks "Bulimia of a certain sector for recurring crises is a profound evil that must be rid the Haitian political sphere ! A terrible cancer eats our country deep within his entrails: THE PERMANENT POLITICAL INSTABILITY ! o eradicate this cancer, the ideal therapy is an essential combination of democratic rules and constant dialogue !"

Irregularities in the certification of more than a thousand judges
The National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH), in a letter addressed to members of the Superior Council of the Judicial Police (CSPJ) and judges of various jurisdictions of the country, denounced a series of irregularities in the certification process of over a thousand judges in the country. According ANAMAH, the dependence of the CSPJ clearly appears in the composition of the Certification Commission, considering that five of the six members of this commission are current and former officials of the Ministry of Justice.

Michaëlle Jean on tour in Southeast Asia
Candidate for the position of Secretary General of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF), Michaëlle Jean, the UNESCO Special Envoy for Haiti, conducts a tour from 13 to 18 November 2014 in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos three member countries of the Francophonie. To date, Ms. Jean is the alone among the candidates for the posttion of Secretary General of the OIF to make a trip to Southeast Asia, in order to visit all the continents as part of his campaign. Ms. Jean will go to the fifteenth Francophonie Summit on 29 and 30 November in Dakar, where the Heads of State and Government will appoint the next Secretary General of the OIF.

Haiti at 4th Ministerial Summit CARICOM-Japan
On the sidelines of the 4th Ministerial Summit CARICOM-Japan, which has been held in Tokyo, Pierre-Duly Brutus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in bilateral meetings with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida and Sadakazu Tanigak, the Secretary General of the Liberal Party Democratic (PLD) around the future of relations of cooperation between the two countries, the investment, bilateral cooperation, reconstruction and the electoral process in Haiti.

Embassy of Haiti in Washington closed
The Embassy of Haiti in Washington DC and its consular section will be closed Nov. 18 in observance of the Battle of Vertières, reopening Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the usual times.
