Haiti - News : Some news here and there... 05/11/2014 13:22:41 The Head of Mission at the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami, Stéphane Gilles welcomes the election, Tuesday, November 4, of the Haitian-American Smith Joseph as Mayor of North Miami with 55% of votes against his rival Kevin Burns. While congratulating Mr. Joseph for this victory, Stéphane Gilles hopes that his election to the City of North Miami improve the already cordial relations between the institution and the Haitian community. The Head of Mission take this opportunity to express the pride of the Haitian community in Miami to see one of their own access once more to this noble function. Meeting between Dinepa and the World Bank On Tuesday, the engineer Benito Dumay, the Director General of the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (Dinepa), the Head of the Unit of Strategic orientation Lesly Dumont, the Administrative Director, Yves Fonrose, the Assistant technical director and project engineer Michael Birch have met with officials from the World Bank (WB). She will also meet with the Minister of Tourism English and held working meetings with several European tour operators.
