IOM denies recruit Haitians to fight Ebola
The Office of Communication of the International Organization for Migration (IOM Haiti) formally denies rumors that circulate in some Haitian media and especially social media, suggesting that the IOM Haiti recruits Haitians for missions in countries affected by Ebola. It is true that like any emergency and at the request of Member States, IOM has been asked to intervene in countries affected by the Ebola epidemic, there is no Haitian staff in the records of people to be deployed or recruitment campaign in Haiti.

The Government promotes transparency

Two scholarships for Antigua
On the occasion of the "Day of the Teacher" Nesmy Manigat, the Ministers of Education of Haiti and its counterpart in Antigua, Michael Browne, accompanied by Mrs. Colombe Emilie Gessie Menos, State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, gathered at the auditorium of the Faculty of Ethnology, for a conference on the quality of education in Haiti, in the presence of school children and students. Minister Browne took the opportunity to announce its decision to grant two full scholarships to two students, who will leave for Antigua to continue their education. Everything will be supported by the state upon arrival.

New Spanish ambassador
On Friday, the Spanish Council of Ministers appointed diplomat Manuel García-Lorenzo Ormaechea as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti. Lorenzo, born June 7, 1948 in Madrid, held diplomatic posts in Germany, Uruguay, United States, Jordan and NATO and is currently Consul General of Spain in Santo Domingo.
