Fake medicines
The US Embassy in Port au Prince announces the launching of a public awareness campaign concerning the circulation of fake medicines in the country. The US Embassy, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and the Population (MSPP) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti, will broadcast a series of public service announcements on radio stations across the country over the next month. In addition "Digicel MORE" Interactions will provide text messages twice a week for four weeks to help raise awareness of counterfeit medicines and encourage purchase of medicines only at authorized pharmacies.

Gathering of 46 lakous...
As part of a gathering of 46 lakous commemorating the 223rd anniversary of the uprising of the slaves, a distribution of 500 kits of seeds, 250 baskets of solidarity, 150 fishing kits, 150 agricultural implements and 10 igloos were distributed to La Digue in Grand Anse.

Fundraising for IFORHT
Wednesday, in an effort to find donors to fund the continuation of the work of the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Training (IFORHT), Karine Condé, the Departmental Director South of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), met a delegation of representatives of "Soul of Haiti," Kellog and "BRIDGE Foundation".
